Auditory Processing Evaluation

Blue Ridge Speach and Hearing Center utilizes three separate appointments for diagnostic APD testing

Appointment 1

Case history information will be taken Peripheral hearing evaluation (see what to expect for my child’s hearing evaluation)

Appointment 2

APD Testing including the following:

• SCAN (filtered words, Auditory-figure ground, competing words, competing sentences)
• Staggered Spondaic Word Testing (SSW)
• Phonemic Synthesis Test (PST)
• Time Compressed Sentence Test
• Random Gap Detection Test o Filtered NU 6 words
• Dichotic Digits
• Pitch Pattern Sequence Test

Appointment 3

Parent(s) only to discuss the evaluation. We will go over strategies to help your child and further recommendations to help your child succeed.
