Improving Quality of Life
through Communication
We provide individualized and group occupational therapy sessions for children ages birth to twenty-one. We also offer a variety of evaluations; all include a thorough written report with follow up.
Comprehensive OT Evaluation: This evaluation takes about 1 ½ to 2 hours. This will give you a complete assessment of your child’s sensory processing skills, sensory motor, fine motor and visual motor skills. It includes parent interview, standardized testing, and clinical observations.
Sensory Motor Evaluation: This evaluation takes approximating 1 hour and is for children who are not exhibiting any fine motor delays. It will focus on clinical observations and standardized tests of your child’s postural control, tactile awareness, balance skills, sensory seeking behavior, and sensory sensitivities.
Fine Motor/Visual Motor Evaluation: This evaluation takes approximating 1 hour and is for children who do not exhibit any sensory motor or gross motor delays. This will include standardized testing of finger dexterity, finger control, visual motor skills, and writing skills.
Occupational Therapy Screenings: These can be provided at pre-schools, private schools or in the clinic. It will be a brief 45-minute screening of sensory processing, sensory motor, and fine motor skills, depending on the area of concern. The results will allow you to determine if your child needs further evaluation or occupational therapy services.
