Audiology

Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center’s Audiology department offer an array of services to help protect hearing, diagnose hearing loss, and assist in all hearing healthcare. We are a Center who works with and for our patients and strives to provide the best customer service available.

Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center performs hearing evaluations for pediatrics through geriatrics. We have the tools to evaluate hearing for infants, toddlers, school aged children, and adults. We work with special populations including individuals with Downs Syndrome, dementia, Alzheimer’s, and other debilitative diseases and conditions.

Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center dispenses hearing aids for individuals from six months of age through adulthood. We listen to our patients and their needs to find the best hearing aid technology that is appropriate for each individual. Our audiologists make no commission on hearing aid sales, which allows them to provide only the best and most appropriate service for our patients. If a hearing aid is not appropriate we can also work with you to find appropriate assistive listening devices that can help you hear better on the phone, with the television, or one-on-one conversations. Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center works with many major hearing aid manufacturers and can help you with most hearing aids whether you have purchased them through our clinic or not.

Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center’s Audiology department can also diagnose Auditory Processing Disorders in both children (age 8 and above) and adults. A screening can be performed for children between the ages of five and seven which can help their Speech-Language Pathologist in the treatment of your child’s speech and language delays.

We are also proficient in neurodiagnosic testing including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing as well as Electrocochleography (EcoG). We work closely with several Otolaryngologists (Ear, Nose, and Throat Physicians) in the area to ensure that your medical needs are not overlooked.

Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Center is committed to helping our community. Through grant funding, we have the ability to provide hearing aids and services for individuals who would otherwise not be able to afford them. We work closely with both Loudoun County Public Schools as well as Fairfax County Public Schools. We reach out to our community through providing educational seminars and services to Senior Centers in Loudoun County as well as several retirement communities.
